Kaycee and Corey’s wedding day was the kind that makes you believe in magic—rain-soaked, love-drenched, and unforgettable. Their family property just outside of Edson Alberta, turned into the coziest little love bubble as the rain came and never left. The sound of it became the soft soundtrack to their vows, the misty skies turned their portraits into pure poetry, and their camping trailer? That became the scene of an extra “first kiss” and the signing of their marriage license to make sure it didn’t get wet during their ceremony. The sound of the rain continued into their night as everyone enjoyed their reception under a big tent, keeping us all warm but still feeling like we were outside in the rain. I am still dreaming about their Mac & Cheese with Brisket dinner…. Later, they twirled under twinkly lights with the rain still gently falling, dancing like it was just the two of them in the world. You know what they say about rain on your wedding day! Their wedding will forever stay in my heart as one of my favourites, watching their friends and family share the love amongst the storm was so special and their wedding photos feel like scenes from a movie….
A few moments I loved from their day:
-Kaycee and her mom getting ready together upstairs so that she could surprise everyone with her final look before leaving
-Kaycee and Corey’s first look inside the cutest little white gazebo to hide from the rain. He couldn’t hold in the excitement, and it was the cutest thing to look over and see her girls peeking in from under their umbrellas to see his reaction
-Even though the rain continued all day, the clear umbrella’s were such a cute way to get out of the rain and watching the raindrops bounce off as they said their vows just made them even better.
-They signed their marriage certificate in their camping trailer! No one wanted to risk it getting wet, so after the ceremony, they officially read their vows and were pronounced husband and wife at their camper kitchen table with their witnesses standing in the doorway.
-Mac & Cheese and Brisket for dinner, YES PLEASE!
-Their first dances under the rain… even with the dancefloor soaking wet and just a liiiiitle bit slippery, they just embraced the rain and it was a moment that I will never forget. Corey trying to catch raindrops in his mouth was truly the best part!!
